Latibaer puppets are the original LazyTown puppets that were made between 1999 and 2000.

The making of the puppets was filmed by Wit Puppets,  The original versions of the characters were scrapped and new versions were made for the TV series.

In about 1999, Magnús Scheving decided to use puppets for the Latibaer franchise. Puppet designers were hired such as: Gudmundor Thor Karason and others.

The proccess of making the puppets was supported by Karason's Wit Puppets.  The last puppets were made in 2000.

In 2001, an interview was made with Karason and his crew. The news report showed many of Karason's puppets and footage of live performances.


The following puppets were made and included on the unused footage recorded with Wit Puppets:


  • All the puppets were featured on the unused footage filmed between 1999-2000.
  • Ziggy and Jives were included on a TV commercial from 2000 for "Íslenskt Graenmeti" ("Icelandic Vegetables")
