Robbie Rotten is the main antagonist of LazyTown. DescriptionEvery hero needs a good villain, and Sportacus has a doozy in Robbie Rotten. Robbie (or Mr. Rotten to you) can't believe that Sportacus is considered cool by the LazyTown kids, especially since Sportacus is a horrible example of what it takes to be a LazyTowner! The only thing that can tear Robbie away from snacking and TV in his underground lair is a new, nasty scheme to embarrass his sworn nemesis, Sportacus! His most passionate desire is to burst Sportacus's balloon, both figuratively and literally. A master of disguises (well, at least he can fool our hero), Mr. Rotten is constantly luring our guileless hero into another nefarious trap designed to make Sportacus the laughingstock of LazyTown. But, somehow, Robbie's "brilliant" plans always fail, thanks to Sportacus's amazing athletic abilities and quick mind — plus the help of those darn kids! — LazyTown.com LooksRobbie has fair skin and black hair that extremely slicked, as are his eyebrows. Robbie's eyes are seen to be grey in the series, however, some official merchandise has depicted him with brown eyes. He normally wears a two-piece suit of maroon and purple with gold pinstripes, spats, a navy blue shirt with cuffs and cufflinks and a gold pocket watch. He’s the tallest character in the series. As a pirate in "Rottenbeard" he wore a loose pirate coat, a loose white puffy shirt, a black eyepatch, and a black pirate hat. PersonalityRobbie's immaturity can be seen in certain childish behavior, fear and lack of development. He’s afraid of the dark, he often jumps when surprised and when confronted or exposed he slinks away with embarrassment. He exhibits a fear of abandonment and he reacts by dreaming up an imaginary friend (the little fly in The First Day of Summer). Robbie has little or no idea of how to act in social situations. When he attends Ziggy's birthday party in The Greatest Gift he’s unsure of how to behave or act around others. Pixel greets him and he simply replies "Whatever." There’s no doubt that Robbie often displays malevolence towards others having a desire to ruin their fun and to teach them a lesson. He’s particularly malevolent towards Sportacus, wanting to drive him away or get rid of him for good. Several times he also tells Stephanie to "go away little girl." Fortunately his malevolence doesn’t result in physical injury or harm, even despite some of his tricks and rotten plans being downright dangerous. Despite never having been to school, Robbie is shown to be very intelligent. He can create complex inventions rivaled only by that of Pixel, he’s an accomplished chiseler as shown in Rottenbeard and able to think up ingenious plans in short amounts of time. Despite all of the above, Robbie does have a soft side, and seemingly a desire to be loved and accepted. When shown kindness by others he often reacts with appreciation and softness. When invited to participate he’ll actually participate and in certain situations can even show love and care. AppearancesRobbie appears in every episode of LazyTown. His debut was in "Welcome to LazyTown" and his last appearance was in "Mystery of the Pyramid". He also appears in the following LazyTown productions that are not part of the main series: Trivia
